Feb. 18th, 2009 06:26 pm Image from flikr (this didn't work in my own journal)

domtheknight successfully posted a photobucket image in a comment, so we'll test that too.

Another test, yo:
re: community invitation. I was invited, accepted and immediately granted posting access. Moderating worked, and now I've edited the post without trouble. Go Dreamwidth!
ETA: attempting to edit in the HTML window works like a charm.

Date: 2009-02-19 07:06 pm (UTC)I can't see the images either, but it is seeing the website within the code. I'm wondering if I'm just messing up the code here at some point...

Date: 2009-02-19 07:29 pm (UTC)[img] code doesn't work in DW, that's for boards that use BBcode.
Photobucket also has a 'hotlink' option that has the [img src=] tag w/ the angle brackets. The link you have in the img src is the photo page, not the photo itself.
I don't know a lot about Flickr, b/c I don't use it, so I don't know if they provide the tags or not, but this is the correct URL for the image:
[img src=http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3491/3253035989_1d62b46a16.jpg?v=0] - use that w/ the angle brackets on both ends and it'll work

Date: 2009-02-19 10:04 pm (UTC)I assume you were using the HTML editor, since you did the code yourself? Or did you type the code in the RTE? B/c the RTE doesn't parse code properly.

Date: 2009-02-20 12:09 am (UTC)(actually, got the sizing a lot better, but you're right, cut-tags are your friend especially with images.)

Date: 2009-02-20 12:10 am (UTC)Some comms will even require cut tags if images are over a certain size.
Sometimes there are auto-thumbnails too. *g*
